Cryptanalysis of the optical cryptosystem titled "an asymmetric image encryption based on phase truncated hybrid transform"

The approach of this paper is to perform cryptanalysis on hybrid asymmetric cryptosystem based on phase truncation operation. In this paper, the vulnerability of the cryptosystem is shown to a proposed attack. To verify this, Phase retrieval algorithm is used to generate both decryption keys. It is shown that with the help of retrieved equivalent decryption keys and ciphertext image attackers can extract the original image information. For the validation of the proposed attack, grayscale image is used. The strength of the proposed attack is analyzed by calculating the correlation coefficient (CC) value between the original and retrieved image.
