摘要

•The nickel of 6, 11, and 13 at% is doped into the MoS2 samples.•Phase transition from 2H to 1 T on MoS2 was introduced by the nickel doping.•The overpotential was reduced by 60 mV for HER and 80 mV for OER, compared to no Ni-doped MoS2.
