Knowing and Learning in Proleptic Boundary Spaces

Our book aims to offer ongoing and proleptic portraits of scholarships in the field of the Learning Sciences (LS). In this introductory chapter, we discuss how the contributions in this book highlight essential heterogeneities in notions of design, cognition, technology, and transdisciplinarity. This heterogeneity is oriented toward an increasingly greater recognition of socio-politics and a fundamentally unsettled field-making in the Learning Sciences. Collectively, our book reveals porous boundary spaces and strange attractors at the intersection of epistemological, ontological, axiological, and methodological issues in the field.
