摘要
Seafood has become one of the most important food sources in the Philippines. Specifically, shrimp farming provides an important source of seafood and, by extension, a source of income to coastal areas. As such, it has the potential to alleviate poverty in these communities. Furthermore, it is stated to be one of the most demanded businesses in the Philippines. To help shrimp farmers, this study proposes using adaptive PID and PI-based controllers to manage dissolved oxygen. These controllers use three methods namely: Zieglers-Nichols, Trial and Error, and MATLAB PID/PI Tuning. These algorithms were used to adaptively adjust the oxygen levels in the water to ensure optimal oxygen can be given to the shrimp. This can lead to improved shrimp health and growth rates, as well as increased production and profits for the farmer. By implementing adaptive PID and PI-based controllers for dissolved oxygen management, shrimp farmers can more effectively manage the oxygen levels in their farming operations and improve their business's overall efficiency and profitability.
