摘要
Kinases are proteins that regulate a variety of biological processes through phosphorylation. They are also involved in disease development and aging. Their participation in all types of processes and diseases allows them to be therapeutic targets of activators-inhibitors. Because they are part of a network of reactions, intervening on one of them for a single effect is difficult. However, inhibiting kinases closer to the molecular mechanisms that trigger the final cellular response could reduce the possibility of side effects. This chapter summarizes how primary kinases contribute to aging and how their pharmacological regulation could be used in anti-aging therapy.
