摘要
In this chapter we show that ideal memristors (as discussed in the previous Chap. 2 ) are subject to very strict physical conditions and are unable to protect their memory state against the unavoidable fluctuations, and therefore are susceptible to a stochastic catastrophe. Similar considerations apply to ideal memcapacitors and meminductors. These are strong indications that such devices may be difficult, if not impossible, to realize experimentally.
