摘要

New difficulties of user equipment (UE) performance testing have been brought up with the development of 5G key technologies. Standardization progress and testing methods of 5G multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) over-the-air (OTA) performance testing is reviewed in this paper. The comparison of 5G and 4G testing methods specified in the standard are highlighted and discussed. The potential challenges and research directions are also presented for further progress on this topic.
