Delabeling Without Testing in a Pharmacy-led Inpatient Penicillin Allergy Evaluation Program

Due to the prevalence of reported penicillin allergy and subsequent adverse outcomes, efficient delabeling methods are becoming increasingly recognized as important components of antibiotic stewardship programs and high-quality clinical care. We hypothesize that many patients may be able to be directly delabeled of their penicillin allergy without skin prick testing or oral challenge based on a thorough history and chart review.
