Asthma outcomes with biologic medications for patients with asthma and concurrent chronic rhinosinusitis

Efficacy of certain biologics for treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) or asthma is well documented, however there has been less research performed for asthma outcomes for patients with both asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). We aimed to study improvement in asthma control for patients with concurrent asthma and CRS (asthma+CRS) after initiation of a biologic treatment, and to investigate whether the presence of nasal polyps, demographic factors, or other presence of atopic conditions impacts response to asthma biologics.
