MXene is a versatile and new two-dimensional (2D) material with enormous practical applications. The composites of MXene with polymers are finding their use in almost every area of human life. The vast, undiscovered family of MXenes and their exceptional combination of features open the door to a broad array of applications. The capabilities of innovative compositions inspire the researchers to assume that MXene research is still very much in its infancy, with more and more exciting discoveries to come. In this chapter, a comprehensive overview of MXene polymer nanocomposites was included. The chapter discusses the emergence of MXene polymer nanocomposites from the beginning, the number of papers published, and its progressive growth. It also deliberates the synthesis roots of MXene polymer nanocomposites, properties, applications in general, and critical challenges in MXene research. The preparation process and technical approach of MXene/polymer nanocomposites are reviewed initially in this research. The principal preparation methods for nanocomposites have been discovered to be solution mixing and in situ polymerization. The properties of the composites are presented in the second section. MXene has been demonstrated to significantly improve the electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties of polymers. Then, in the biological, sensing, energy, electromagnetic protection, and other domains, innovative applications and typical results of composites are summarized.
