A Four Bands Absorber Based on Zigzag Metamaterial

We numerically and experimentally investigate the absorption and reflection property of a zigzag meta material (ZM) in the microwave regime. The results demonstrate that the ZM can perform sharp absorption peaks and deep reflection valley at four frequencies bands. Its performance remains steady even if the dihedral angle of sawtooth changes in a specified range. This simple structure is desirable for potential applications in improving absorbance performances and reducing the radar cross section.
