Wingtip vortices of a finite span wing are analyzed numerically with the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations. Vortex core parameters were identified using the Winding Angle method, the Q -criterion, λ 2 -criterion, and a modified Q -criterion defined as the difference of vorticity and strain rate tensors.
