摘要
Parastomal hernia (PSH) refers to one of the most frequent complications following ostomy creation, especially in case of end-colostomies, with a reported incidence of up to 50% in clinical examination and even 78% using computed tomography (CT). Most patients with PSH are asymptomatic and diagnosis is typically based on physical exam, observing a bulge at the site or adjacent to the site of the stoma. The two most cited minimally invasive techniques are keyhole and sugarbaker. Hereby, we report a rare case of recurrent PSH following a keyhole procedure, effectively treated using an overlapping sugarbaker technique. The operation time was 180 minutes, and the estimated blood loss was a negli-gible amount. The postoperative course following the second PSH repair surgery was uneventful. On the third postoperative day, RX findings of orally ingested gastrografin showed how the contrast had smoothly progressed till the stoma and the patient was discharged.
