Contagious and Constructive Virtue within the Workplace

Understanding and perpetuating virtue in leaders is critical, given the broad influence leaders exert over organizations and their members and stakeholders. This chapter sets out to demonstrate that virtue in leaders is important and to provide examples regarding what virtues might look like in the form of workplace behaviors. Specifically, servant leadership is discussed, and research is presented that illustrates its potential to influence work climates and their members.
