Research of a Standard Source for Steep Impulse Voltage

Steep impulse voltages can effectively find defects caused by the manufacture and aging of electrical equipment, and there is currently a lack of steep impulse voltage standard sources that can calibrate steep impulse voltage generators. In order to calibrate the steep impulse voltage generator, a steep impulse voltage standard source based on the impulse voltage generation loop is designed, and its waveform is simulated and experimentally studied. The results show that the steep impulse voltage standard source can produce steep waves with a maximum magnitude of 1kV, a wavefront time of less than 200ns, and proper errors.
