Spraying Effect Test of Automatic Spraying Device for Simulating Contamination of Disc Suspension

In order to solve the problem of poor consistency of manual quantitative painting method in the solid coating method, an automatic spraying device for simulating contamination on disc suspension insulator was developed. Different levels of contamination (salt density and ash density) on the surface of the experimental insulator were simulated by atomizing salt and pneumatic ash spraying, and the spraying effect was compared with the manual painting method. It is found that the average error of salt density is less than 4 %, and the average error of grey density is less than 6 %, and the error increases with the decrease of simulated salt density.
