摘要
In order to improve isolation, a two-element Microstrip Patch Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna with a Parallel Rectangular Strip Resonator (PRSR) with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) has been implemented in this work. The PRSR is made up of two rectangular strips that are parallel to one another and are spaced closely apart. The proposed decoupling configuration gives band stop characteristics over the operating range from 5.08 to 5.27GHz with edge-to-edge distance of 4mm (.07.o at 5.17GHz) on FR-4 Material. The technique enhances the antenna parameters. The improved isolation and reflection coefficients are -38.8dB and 32.74dB, respectively. Diversity gain and Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) over the operational range are found to be more than 9.99dB and less than 0.00006 respectively. The proposed design is suitable for WLAN and WIFI applications.
