摘要
The relatively high incidence of growing resistance to conventional antibiotics necessitates the development of novel antibiotics. and the majority of systemically delivered antibiotics were likely to have poor wound care outcomes. Because of their unique mechanism of action that can effectively combat multidrug-resistant microbes, nanoparticles have become increasingly used as antimicrobials in wound care applications. Antimicrobial nanoparticles immobilized with enzymes help with wound debridement and collagen synthesis in wound dressing applications. This chapter provides an overview of antimicrobial nanoparticle types, enzyme immobilization techniques, and pathophysiology, as well as appropriate examples and future directions for developing effective antimicrobial wound dressings.
