摘要
Septic shock results from a combination of macrocirculatory and microcirculatory disorders that differs from patient to patient. Early correction of circulatory disorders may correct or at least limit tissue hypoxia. Hemodynamic monitoring technologies help to identify which components of shock predominate in an individual patient and thus to select the most appropriate therapies. Hemodynamic monitoring is also important to assess the effects of these therapies and to titrate them. In this chapter, we briefly review the current practice of hemodynamic monitoring in shock based on experts' recommendations and we more extensively discuss the perspectives of evolution of hemodynamic monitoring in the coming years. Some of these new technologies already exist but need multiple refinements to be properly used at the bedside. Some others are in a development phase and will benefit soon from the extremely rapid advances in technologies using artificial intelligence.
