摘要
In this paper, we demonstrate a non-enzymatic microsensing needle for lactate detection in a dynamic environment mimicking the urine flowing through the pipeline of urine bag. Experimental results show the microneedle can exhibit similar linearity of 0.97, sensitivity of 5.9 x 10(3) nA/mM.mm(2) and LoD (Limit of Detection) of 0.29 mM for the lactate detection both under a static and dynamic environment where the flow rate ranges from 0, 10, 50, to 100 mL/min. It is our belief that the microsensing needle with the capability of the real-time lactate monitoring in urine bag pipeline can effectively predict and prevent postoperative patients in an intensive care unit (ICU) from sudden cardiac death by earlier diagnosis and intervention.
