Energy has been vitally important for humans and so there is a need to store and supply energy whenever needed. Moreover, this requirement of energy consumption has been increasing commensurately with the increase in the human population. Viewing this challenge, new opportunities emerge, which encourages the scientists and researchers to work on exploring new techniques and designs to store energy. They have also emphasized combining techniques to evolve new generations of energy storage devices. Obtaining at par efficiency and diversifying the properties of the devices has been the main focus of the researcher from the early stages. We have come a long way from acid batteries which were rigid as well as fragile in nature to self-supportive batteries which are far more efficient and mechanically stable. New technologies provide innovative products to tackle such problems, one such technology is 3D printing which enables fast and efficient production of devices. Yet 3D-printing technology cannot supply the desired products, where the materials come up. Today nanomaterials and nanocomposites have made the functioning of storage devices effortless. This is mainly due to the properties they exhibit. They unlock several new possibilities and and may fulfill the growing demands of energy consumption.
