摘要

•A high quality factor infrared notch filter with compact EIT structure is designed.•The theoretical and experimental Q values of the proposed notch filter are much improved.•The EIT structure of the optimized filter is more compact than that of previous one, leading to easy processability.•As a proof of this design, a sample is fabricated and measured.
