摘要
Purpose: Hip morphology has been identified as an important risk factor for the development of hip OA. Cam morphology, a non-spherical femoral head, is one of the strongest predictors of hip OA development. However, the strength of the association found in different cohort studies varies widely. A possible explanation is the large differences in follow-up time as cam morphology is thought to particularly cause rapid OA development. We therefore determined the strength of association between cam morphology and the development of radiographic hip osteoarthritis (OA) at four different timepoints within10 years follow-up.
