摘要
Purpose: Knee synovitis is a potentially modifiable treatment target for knee pain and commonly observed in knee osteoarthritis; however, its risk factors remain poorly understood. Previous studies reported that gut fungal dysbiosis and altered fungi-bacteria correlation network were associated with multiple inflammatory diseases, but no study has examined its association with knee synovitis. To fill in this knowledge gap, we assessed the associations between the fungal gut microbiota and the related alteration of fungi-bacteria correlation network with the prevalence of knee synovitis in a middle-aged and older population-based study.
