Effectiveness of physicochemical methods in the treatment of wastewater from the poultry industry

Wastewater from the poultry industry was treated using coagulation, Fenton oxidn. and neutralization methods. Variable doses of reagents and various combinations of treatment methods were used. Regardless of the treatment method used, the wastewater turbidity was reduced by at least 94% in most cases. Color redn. ranged 85-100%, and the highest efficiency was achieved with a combination of oxidn. and coagulation methods. The highest degree of COD redn., reaching 93%, was achieved using Fenton oxidn. and coagulant-assisted oxidn.
