Low Complexity Design of Peak-to-average power ration (PAPR) Reduction Scheme for OTFS Modulation

Widely acknowledged as a viable approach to combating Doppler shift in high mobility wireless settings is Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS). However, OTFS is fundamentally multicarrier modulation, and faces with the issue of large peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) that account for the transmitted signal to be distorted nonlinearly. The design of a PAPR reduction strategy for OTFS-based trans-mission is examined in this study. In particular, we come up with a low complexity conversions to take the place of Inverse Symplectic Finite Fourier Transform (ISFFT) in traditional Selecting mapping (SLM) methods. The results demonstrate that while the suggested scheme's PAPR reduction performance is marginally worse than that of the conventional SLM scheme, it can guarantee a similar reliability performance with the complexity reduction of 6%.
