ACS Fed Four-Antenna Dual Band Club Shaped MIMO for IEEE802.11g/n/ac/ax WLAN and WiMAX Applications

This paper presents a Club shaped MIMO antenna having $43\times 43\times 1.6\ \text{mm}^{3}$ size fabricated on the FR4 substrate. The presented antenna operates at 2.27GHz - 2.42 GHz and 4.07GHz-6.05GHz frequency bands, producing gain 5.2dB and efficiency 98%. This antenna is useful for the IEEE802.11g/n/ac/ax/WLAN and WiMAX applications. The orthogonal positioning of the elements helps to reduce the interference and increased the speed of propagation of signals. Isolation of proposed MIMO antenna is <−20dB. ACS feeding and orthogonal configuration techniques are used to achieve high isolation. 3D Electromagnetic tool software was used to simulate the presented diversity metrics graphs as well as single and MIMO element results.
