Ultrasound Image Analysis for Pregnancy Diagnosis in Goat

Real-time B mode ultrasonography is currently used to identify pregnancy in goats. Nevertheless, there is a substantial amount of noise in this method, such as speckle noise, which complicates image processing. This study investigates the potential use of few image processing techniques, such as picture segmentation, filtering, enhancement, and morphological procedures, to meet this demand. The findings demonstrate that the embryo with amniotic membrane, placentomes, and the area of the uterus may be recognized by combining thresholding and morphological operation with the region of interest approach, simplifying the diagnosis of goat pregnancy.
