A Dual-sided CPW-fed MIMO Antenna for UWB Communications with WLAN Notching Capability

A multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications with the WLAN band notching capability has been proposed in this paper. This MIMO antenna is composed of four printed monopoles, two on each side of a dielectric substrate. The monopoles are fed by coplanar waveguides (CPW). The proposed structure also provides good isolation between radiating elements. Simulation results of the antenna characteristics are presented to show the validity of this structure.
