摘要
The Delphi consensus method is a research technique used to gather opinions and reach consensus among a group of experts on a particular topic where empirical evidence may be limited or inconclusive. While the Delphi consensus method is not considered a traditional form of evidence-based research, it can still be utilized as part of an evidence-based approach. To enhance the evidence-based nature of the Delphi consensus method, we employed rigorous methodologies, including structured questionnaires, multiple iterative rounds of data collection and feedback, anonymity of responses, and statistical analysis to quantify consensus levels or identify key themes. These efforts help to increase the reliability and validity of the findings derived from the Delphi consensus process. Comment on: Recommendation for presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses: A Delphi consensus statement by the ESASO study groupAmerican Journal of OphthalmologyPreviewWe have read with interest the article by Romano et al., in which the authors aimed to establish consensus for the recommendations on issues related to presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (IOLs) in lens and refractive surgery.1 Among 105 relevant items, the authors concluded e.g., that there was a broad consensus that dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an absolute contraindication for presbyopia-correcting IOLs. Furthermore, the authors agreed that epiretinal membrane (ERM) represented a contraindication (no agreement on the level; absolute or relative) for presbyopia-correcting IOLs. Full-Text PDF
