摘要
Background: Chordomas exhibit variable clinical behavior, ranging from relatively mild to highly aggressive, which complicates management. Inflammation is a hallmark of cancer and has been linked to aggressiveness. Neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR), lymphocyte monocyte ratio (LMR), and more recently, systemic immune inflammation index (SII) and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) have emerged as biomarker proxies for inflammatory state. The role of these inflammatory proxies in chordoma has not been clearly studied. The objective of this study was to evaluate the utility of NLR, PLR, LMR, SII, and SIRI in predicting progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) for patients with skull base chordoma who underwent surgical resection.
