摘要
Postoperative pneumocephalus after a labyrinthectomy is an infrequent yet potentially devastating complication. Accurate diagnosis and intervention are required to prevent further damage. Herein we present a case of postoperative pneumocephalus. Our patient underwent a labyrinthectomy for Meniere's disease and subsequently presented with altered mental status. She was found to have pneumocephalus on CT imaging that resolved with surgery. Pneumocephalus should be considered in the differential diagnosis for altered mental status after labyrinthectomy surgery.
