Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Short-Circuit Electromagnetic Force in Typical Transformer Windings Under the Influence of Meso-structure

Meso-structures such as transposition structure, varying spacing of winding disks, and manufacture deviation are common in windings, but its influence on the electromagnetic force spatial distribution haven’t obtained yet. In this paper, a 2D FEM model of 110 kV transformer was built, and the spatial distribution of electromagnetic force on typical helical and continuous winding were obtained. The results showed that the spatial distribution of short-circuit electro-magnetic force of the two typical windings changes significantly under the influence of meso-structures. The influence of meso-structure cannot be ignored.
