摘要
Three dogs presented to a referral hospital with periorbital cutaneous fistulae. Investigations in all patients identified odontogenic disease as the cause of the fistulae. Treatment by tooth extraction was undertaken in all patients and resulted in resolution of the fistulae. Patients presenting with facial fistulae or swellings should undergo a thorough intra-oral examination and dental radiography or computed tomography to diagnose/exclude odontogenic cutaneous fistulae. Dental extraction or endodontic treatment is indicated for treatment of odontogenic cutaneous fistulae and is curative.
