Pulmonary artery resection and reconstruction in locally advanced lung cancer with moderate hemoptysis

Lobectomy with pulmonary artery (PA) angioplasty in locally advanced lung cancer is an alternative to pneumonectomy. It is feasible, oncologi-cally effective and the procedure of choice in patients with recurrent hemoptysis and limited pulmonary reserves. We present a case of a success-ful left upper lobectomy with PA resection and reconstruction by an autologous pericardial patch.
