Improving Pd-C catalysts via heteroatom doping for the dehydrogenation of formic acid: a non-noble-metal modulation strategy

A non-noble-metal modulation strategy has been developed to adjust the electronic structure of Pd, resulting in enhancement of the catalytic performances for the dehydrogenation of formic acid. Pd0.95Ni0.05/KBLA with a particle size of similar to 1.25 nm exhibited the highest catalytic activity with a turnover frequency of 5432 h(-1) at 50 degrees C.
