Directed Transimission of Ca2+ Signals in Three-dimention Biological Cell Networks

Calcium signal has become a research hotspot of mobile molecular communication. In this work, firstly we propose a three-dimensional calcium signaling molecular communication model, which is more in line with the actual biological cell environment. Then, a biological cell movement model is proposed to simulate changes in the position of biological cells and considers the random movement and chemotaxis of cells in this model, so that cells have the ability to move directionally. Finally, we analyze the performance of the proposed model through Monte Carlo simulation. Simulation results show that the proposed model has better communication performance, such as more activated cells, longer signal transmission distance, and faster arrival at the target area.
