Investigation of Lower Band-Edge Oscillation for TWT with Double Corrugated Waveguide

摘要
Exploring diverse operating points or regimes on the dispersion curve of a specific periodic geometry plays an important role in making full use of its capability and enlarging the application space. In such perspective, the region in the vicinity of the band edge represents not only a potential factor for self-oscillation detrimental for a stable operation, but also a realm with a group velocity approaching to zero, which might lead to a stronger interaction. Stemming from that, lower band-edge oscillation of TWT with double corrugated waveguide is explored and investigated in detail.
