The thoracic duct: The final frontier for intervention?

Key Points Thoracic duct obstruction can cause chylothorax, protein‐losing enteropathy, and chylous ascites but there have been few reports of interventional approaches to diagnosis and treatment. This case series demonstrates that direct lymphangiography and measurement of the lympho‐venous pressure gradient can guide successful interventions of the thoracic duct. Refinement of these techniques will improve the diagnosis of lymphatic disorders and potentially reduce the need for surgical intervention.
