Nano silver modified TiNb2O7 as high-rate lithium-ion storage materials

•Nano silver modified TiNb2O7 (TiNb2O7/Ag) have been synthesized via a hydrothermal method with the help of PEI.•Although there is only 1.01 wt% silver in the composite, it significantly improves the rate performance of the material, resulting in capacity of 172.2 mAh/g at 10C and a high capacity retention of 78.3% after 1000 cycles at 10C.
