Experimental and computational investigation into hydrodynamic and heat transfer characteristics of subcooled flow boiling on the International Space Station

摘要
•This study investigates microgravity flow boiling of n-PFH in a rectangular channel.•Presented are heat transfer data and flow visualization results from experiments performed on the International Space Station.•A CFD model is developed, and predictions are compared to both heat transfer data and interfacial structure from experiment.•The CFD model shows good predictions for nine different sets of operating conditions.
