Utilization of treat-to-target monitoring colonoscopy after treatment initiation in the US-based study of a prospective adult research cohort with inflammatory bowel disease (SPARC IBD)
The American journal of gastroenterology(2023)
摘要
About half of SPARC IBD patients received colonoscopy in the 3-15 months following initiation to new IBD treatment, suggesting low uptake of treat-to-target colonoscopy for assessment of mucosal healing in real-world clinical practice. The variation in colonoscopy use between study sites suggests a lack of consensus and a need for more robust evidence associating the practice of routine monitoring colonoscopy with improved patient outcomes.
