Global evaluation of model agreement and uncertainty in terrestrial water storage simulations from ISIMIP 2b framework

•Model agreement and uncertainty in global TWSA simulations within the ISIMIP are evaluated.•The ensembles agree with GRACE better in drying trend than wetting trend.•The ensemble members show better agreement in the interannual TWS variations in the Northern Hemisphere.•Most members show higher (lower) seasonal TWS ranges in North America, Europe and Asia (South America, Africa and Australia).•GWM (GCM) dominates uncertainty in the Northern Hemisphere (Southern Hemisphere).
