All-solid Polymer Waveguide for Fiber Interconnection

Here we first demonstrate the fabrication of an all-solid light-induced self-writing waveguide using the photopolymer material to interconnect two fibers. The waveguide provides a new scheme for interconnecting of optical fibers, and the strategy may also be extended for fiber-waveguide interconnection and photonic chip integration.
