摘要
Introducing multiple microgrid clusters (MMGCs) is to more efficiently accommodate distributed energies and promote the consumption of local power loads. Regarding the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) based MMGCs, this paper focuses on the transient performance issue, and the coordination of active power regulator (APR) and fault current limiter (FCL) is suggested to boost the transient stability under short-circuit faults. Firstly, the architecture model and control characteristics of the VSG-based MMGCs are described. Then, the impacts of employing the APR and FCL on the transient angle stability of the VSG-based MMGCs are analyzed. Using MATLAB/Simulink, a specific simulation model is constructed, and the close-in fault and PCC fault are set to assess the effectiveness of the coordinating strategy. The simulation outcomes demonstrate that the method can alleviate the relative power angle fluctuation while reducing fault current and adjusting for terminal voltage. In addition, the transitory energy function's lowering is to improve the stability margin of the VSG-based MMGCs. The theoretical study follows the transient simulations to validate the effectiveness of the suggested strategy in the MMGCs.
