Design of Neurofuzzy Models for Biological Oxygen Demand Prediction

One of the alarming issues affecting the lives of mankind at present particularly in urban areas is the water pollution. The water pollution in the lakes at tourist places is more prevalent. As per the survey done to carry out this research work, the researchers have addressed the problem of monitoring and control of water pollution very frequently. In the present work, a particular parameter having a direct connection with the water pollution is taken up as the subject of research. This parameter is the BOD (Biological oxygen demand) which increases with increase in water pollution. This work aims to develop fuzzy logic based models to predict the BOD using pH and temperature as the inputs. In this work, MATLAB has been used to do all simulations.
