摘要
Inverted papillomas (IP) are benign neoplasms of the sinonasal cavity with a high rate of malignant transformation compared to simple nasal polyps, estimated in approximately 10% of cases. Recurrence of IP-associated squamous cell carcinoma (IP-SCC) following resection is relatively common, and treatment options are limited indicating a need for the introduction of tumor profiling in order to determine potential therapeutic targets. We present the case of a patient diagnosed with a highly invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) arising from an inverted sinonasal papilloma. We aim to associate molecular analysis with beneficial treatment options for this patient diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer.
