245. Sertraline and its Effect on Aversive Processing: Secondary Analyses of the Panda Randomised Controlled Trial

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are first-line pharmacological treatments for depression and anxiety. However, only little is known about how pharmacological action is linked to cognitive and affective processes. A promising framework within which such links are possible is reinforcement learning. Here, we examined whether reinforcement learning mechanisms, specifically automatic inhibition, mediate the impact of SSRIs in the context of a clinical trial.
