Patient-derived surgical or endoscopic specimens representative of progressive stages of the colorectal adenoma-to-carcinoma transition (normal mucosa, hyperplasia, moderate dysplasia, severe dysplasia and adenocarcinoma) were analyzed for expression of Thr68-phosphorylated (T68) Chk2, survivin, p53, or Chk2, by immunohistochemistry.
