Identification of motivators and barriers impacting successful food introduction or reintroduction after negative oral food challenges.
The journal of allergy and clinical immunology. In practice(2023)
摘要
Oral food challenges (OFCs) are considered the gold standard to diagnose food allergy.1 After a patient has passed an OFC, also known as a negative OFC, introduction or re-introduction of the previously labelled allergic food into the daily diet is strongly recommended to prevent the transition from asymptomatic sensitization to symptomatic allergy.2 However, about 28% of negative OFCs result in continued avoidance.2-4 Information on how to improve likelihood of food (re)-introduction could benefit clinicians and their patients.
